The city of Rye and the Village of Mamaroneck held a joint meeting Friday, Sept. 25, to continue discussions on deer management in the two municipalities.
Both held a similar meeting earlier this year, and Friday’s hearing was a follow-up to go over “current and up-to-date issues and strategies,” as deer season approaches on Oct. 1.
Additionally, the two municipalities were calling on Westchester County to step up and assist with a deer management program that officials said the county was prepared to implement, particularly at the Marshlands Conservancy in Rye.
City of Rye Mayor Joe Sack and Village of Mamaroneck Mayor Norman Rosenblum recently sent a joint letter to Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett inquiring about the county’s plans in regards to this issue.
Check our Schedules page here to see when it will air again this week.

2015 Summer Workshop Screening

LMCTV is excited to announce that it will screen this summer’s teen filmmaking workshop films at LMCTV’s Studio One inside Mamaroneck High School @ 7pm on Friday, October 2, 2015.  The event will showcase both summer workshop films AND the “making of” video for the two films.
The first workshop film entitled, Choose Dare, centers around 5 friends at a Halloween party who decide to play a game of “Truth or Dare.” The twist comes from the choices; this interactive film allows the audience to participate in ways that have never been done before! The second workshop film, Super Soaked, involves children and adults alike participating in a community wide annual water fight called “Water Warz.”  Rick, the reigning champion, decides to hang up his super soaker in preparation for college. What does this mean for his little brother and best friend?  This is a story about friends, family, and water fights.
This event is open to the public.  Please RSVP by Friday, September 25 to Dena Schumacher @ dschumacher@lmc-tv.org.  LMCTV’s Studio One is located on the Palmer Avenue side of Mamaroneck High School, across the street and up the stairs from Walter’s Hot Dogs.  For more information on this event, please contact Matt Sullivan @ msullivan@lmc-tv.org.
