Become A Volunteer Today!
LMCTV offers hands on video production experience. As a volunteer you have an opportunity to learn all aspects of production. No experience is necessary, we will train you. LMCTV has the experts and the facilities to teach, so you could do it all. Just submit the form below and we’ll get started!
Studio volunteering you will be trained for TV Studio Directing, Technical Directing, Audio, or Camera. Studio volunteering is being apart of crew and working as a team. New volunteers start as camera operators and are told what to do by the director. These shoots happen on weekdays and weeknights. Studio Orientations take place a half hour before a scheduled shoot, and then new volunteers are asked to stay for the recording and assist.
Field volunteering you would be trained on how to use the equipment and depending on the type of shoot and how to set it up. Field shoots can range from parades, to lectures, to public presentations or art fairs…etc. Any community event is a potential field shoot. These shoots are often done by one person, however your first shoot will be assisting someone experienced. Most of these shoots happen on the weekend.
Editing volunteering is doing the post production work of cutting together clips, adding music and titles for studio shoots or field shoots like those mentioned above. Editing is done in our studio edit suite weekdays 12-9pm.
